NOT YOUR BASIC BIKE FIT

I was skeptical of mountain bike fits. I thought yeah if I were a road biker, then I would invest in one, but not a mountain biker... So glad I didn’t stick to my original conclusion. John has fit me on at least 4 or 5 mountain bikes now. So glad I met him. No longer any doubt when I’m ascending or descending if my bike is set up right. Would highly recommend, partially because he is a great mountain biker, himself.

The lower back pain I’d experienced when riding my first tri bike disappeared. When I got a new one, I made a beeline to John to have it adjusted. The toe numbness, the shoulder strain, the knee aches I’d often grind through on long rides – all gone. The awkward, tippy out-of-control issues I’d experienced on my tri bike were a thing of the past.

I felt comfortable with John from the start of our first appointment. He has an easy way about him that allows you to relax. He may be focused on calibrating all the minutiae of your body measurements, but he communicates each step of the process very well, so you know what is being accomplished. Plus, he has a wickedly dry sense of humor.

I did manage to embarrass him a bit. After three hours of total body measurement, I told him I’d not had that much interest in my body since I was 16! My bikes now fit, as if they were made for me. And in reality, John did make them specifically fit me. Since I met John, he’s fit two road bikes, two tri bikes, and a gravel bike. Plus a multitude of my friends’ and family members’ bikes. My next bike (there is always a next bike) will make a visit to John’s fit station before I put in any time in the saddle.
